Shakib Signs With The Chittagong Kings For The Next BPL Season
Chittagong Kings has added Shakib Al Hasan for the next Bangladesh Premier League season. Shakib had committed to a two-year contract with Rangpur Riders last year, but both sides split ways amicably to allow Kings to sign him directly.
Barishal chose good fortune Rishad Hossain; however, this was after the franchises had already chosen 40 other cricket players. After Hobart Hurricane selected Rishad for this season’s Big Bash League, the franchises hesitated to pick him because of his somewhat hazy availability. Once again, Barisal brought in Bangladesh skipper Najmul Hossain Shanto as a late addition.
A few people were surprised to see Mashrafe Mortaza in Group B because of his poor performance last season. However, he was selected by Sylhet Strikers, with whom he played in the previous two BPL seasons.
A great deal of confusion surrounded the player draft, held on Monday, October 14, in Dhaka. Faruque Ahmed, president of BCB, expressed satisfaction that the draft happened.
Not even the number of participating teams was a certainty. It needed a great deal of effort. My BPL team also worked on it. We have now held the draft. Bet pro exchange login I’m sure the teams will be able to further strengthen their squads with two and a half months until the main tournament,” Faruque stated.
“Most teams still need to fill a few positions. Although there was one delay, the draft has been completed so far according to schedule. It hasn’t been too horrible, considering that,” he remarked. “Seven teams are present. We’re experimenting a lot. Although it won’t be flawless, it will nonetheless be an improvement over the past.”
Faruque added that the BPL’s top priority will be to supply quality batting pitches. This time, we’ll make every effort to provide decent batting wickets so that bowlers who bowl well will be held in high regard. The wickets were pretty decent in the last competition, too. In the day matches, there were few runs. We’ll aim to make T20 cricket more entertaining this time around.”
Until the planned tournament start date of December 27, the BPL teams can still sign players directly. The new teams for this season are Dhaka Capitals, Chittagong Kings, and Durbar Rajshahi; the teams from the previous cycle are Fortune Barishal, Khulna Tigers, Sylhet Strikers, and Rangpur Riders.
